Review of Waltz with Bashir (2008) by Aidan H — 02 Oct 2009
Astounding and emotional animation masterpiece that gives manga etc. a run for its money with its stunning use of 2D/3D and high-contrast colorization. My only problem is that a style like this lends itself to emotive faces but here, considering the content, they remain passively mask-like throughout.
Despite this, the film still smacks gobs and drops jaws and ranks alongside the classics of the genre.
