Review of Waltz with Bashir (2008) by Raji K — 28 Oct 2011
Waltz with Bashir is well animated film that in so many ways cleverly deals with terrible aspects of war. From the soldiers perspective we are presented with the pychatic trauma involved through memory relapses as as one solider tries to re account for his past.
The soldiers describe in the ways of like a vivid and lucid dream where you are essentially a yes man doing bidding that you do not understand, but at the same time do not really wish to understand. Through the animation as a viewer of the film you are presented with the same sense of illusion until the end when they show the actual vividness and reality of the situation which was brilliant.
