Review of Waltz with Bashir (2008) by Niloo R — 08 May 2012

This was a haunting, disturbing film - the animation was very fitting for the film and very creepy. the film was also structured in a very interesting way - it was technically a documentary, but the animation helped it become much more than that and lose some of the rigidity and boringness that the genre sometimes entails.

it also helped that the film was about a personal journey and not objective facts - it allowed the audience to follow the events like a narrative building up to a horrific climax. very interesting, well-made film!
