Review of Waltz with Bashir (2008) by Greg N — 04 Aug 2012

Wow. Finally got around to watching this. It was as beautiful in it's animation and style as it was starkly horrendous in the atrocities it brought to light. Haven't seen a war movie this effectively arresting in a long time, and the animators and actors where just as convincing.

Scores of people have been victimized in the name of war, but to bring it to life as a animated documentary as one man's search for answers and to tell the world in this fashion, and so richly and teribly done, powerful stuff.
