Review of Waltz with Bashir (2008) by Matan S — 27 Mar 2013
The animation and surrealism is very engaging, but it can't make up for the moral narcissism on display in this film, so common to the Israeli left. To compare Israel's indirect role in the Sabra and Shatila massacre to Nazi crimes in the Holocaust is moral malpractice, and underscores Aril Folman's pathetic moral self-obsession that is not grounded in any objective reality.
