Compelling, beautifully animated and ultimately disturbing, Waltz with Bashir packs a punch just as powerful as any live-action film dealing with soldiers after they've come home. The animation here actually serves a purpose, creating a surreal, dream-like mood that betrays its audience in the final moments.
Fans of animation and history should definitely check this one out.
