Review of Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps (2010) by Harry P — 21 Jun 2011
What happened to Oliver Stone? The guy owned the 60s with Platoon, The Doors and JFK. He predicted reality TV with Natural Born Killers and the greed that caused the current disaster with Wall Street. His latest movies about the 00s while compelling subjects, are not engaging.
World Trade Center and W. are too wishy-washy, so is this Wall Street sequel. So many missed opportunities is not even funny. I wanted to see these guys selling bad loans to investors, screwing people and getting bailed out.
I wanted to be angry, compelled, engaged. Instead, that story ends up in the back burner. I give up, Oliver Stone can't do a good movie anymore.
