Review of Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps (2010) by Wesley G — 07 Jul 2011
Mixed feelings about this movie. I do like Douglas and the kid but it's not as good as the first. Even with Douglas in it, as good as an actor as he is and all the new technology with today's movies.
...it just doesn't measure up to the first one. The plot is all over the place. 15-20 mins could of been shaved off and there should of been more flash backs to the past. I did enjoy seeing Sheen again, even if it was for a minute, it was nice they put that in there.
The ending is a feel good, but not so realistic. I do hope they don't make another one as this is nothing without Douglas. But you never know with Sheen still around. He even has two ladies with him in the movie.
(Didn't surprise me lol) I do agree with a lot of the audiences reviews about it being a bit confusing. I was lost a bunch of times. If I watched it again I would understand it better for sure but it's just not good enough for me to rent again.
It's worth a watch on DVD but I would rent the first one first and you can understand and appreciate the first one. (Frank) the owner of the company Zabel was great actually and I liked his part and acting.
Douglas is not his best but it's hard for him to shine really bright in this movie. He seemed a little lost at times. The one major problem with this movie was with Carrie Mulligan. WRONG person for the part.
Shia LaBeouf was o.k. by today's standards but they could of done better chosing someone else. He doesn't really fit the part either.
