Review of Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps (2010) by Leo L — 20 May 2011
An interesting follow-up to the first film (both directed by Oliver Stone) that centralizes upon the post-prison release of Gordon Gekko. After serving several years, Gordon is released from prison and promptly notices the many changes of the years gone by. Dealing with a new decade, he attempts to reconcile with young daughter, Winnie. Blaming her father for the death of her brother, Winnie is not impressed with the efforts or disappointments that her father has wrought. However, her boyfriend Jake is awestruck by the influential success of her father and she discourages him from getting involved with her father. Dealing with his own work troubles, Jake decides to try to get to know Gordon and when he does- he realizes that he is in deep for something greater than he's ever expected.
Shia LaBeouf, Carey Mulligan, Michael Douglas, Josh Brolin, Michael Douglas, Frank Langella, Eli Wallach, and Susan Sarandon stars. Worthy!
