Review of Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps (2010) by Andy W — 20 Mar 2011
A watchable, interesting sequel which is heavier on plot this time, with its theme of 'revenge', giving the film more drive than its predecessor. Again it has a great cast and some nice, unexpected cameos, but its still a little preachy.
Directorially, there's some odd choices of music - still sticking with David Byrne, which is fine but its doesn't seem to fit the movie. Also, some of the editing is downright weird (note: The phone conversation in the car - looks like an experiment with the edit suite rather than a good decision).
Glossier than the first, more character, more plot, but a little more softer and toothless.
