Review of Wall Street (1987) by Dana A — 11 May 2010
It's funny 20 years after the release of this movie, it still has the ability to stand the test of time. With the recent events with the stock market, Enron and banks this film is still relevent. Sensational entertainment.
Michael Douglas is a complete powerhouse, he gives one of the greatest performances of his career stealing every scene he is in. Charlie Sheen is outstanding as sadly this is one of only good performances.
Martian Sheen is incredible and I just loved him seeing working with his son. Excellent supporting cast, including James Spader, John C. McGinley, Terence Stamp, Sean Young, and Hal Holbrook. They totally knock it out of the park with their amazing work together.
It's slick, very smart and electric. Director, Oliver Stone's most insightful and brilliant film.
