Review of Wall Street (1987) by Ryan G — 19 Sep 2011
The film evoked a number of emotions for me, but not the emotions that induce my 5 Star Donation. Wall Street is fun. It's addicting and its high octane at times, even to a self-motivational moment or two.
Sheen is casually believable. Douglas is powerful and unreachable not as a business man , but as a person. Sheen's struggle to balance survival, greed, and more importantly family, is the toxic combination that leads to a fiasco that the filmmakers want you to love for its message or its rollercoaster journey.
Or, to hate the said motives.
