Review of Wall Street (1987) by Wesley W — 16 Feb 2014
I have to say I didn't get much invested in this film as much as I wanted to be. First off, Michael Douglas and Charlie Sheen were both good here and they managed to have some good scenes together, but others I was kinda bored by.
I was interested in the beginning and the final half hour of the movie but everything in between I was bored by because the dialogue just wasn't interesting enough and the movie didn't pull me in enough to get me to care that much on what was going on.
Daryl Hanna didn't have much of a point at all here other than to be a cliched love interest for Charlie Sheen's character. This movie doesn't have much rewatch value and it is not very memorable in my opinion like Boiler Room and The Wolf of Wall Street were.
I personally think that if Martin Scorcese got his hands on this film he would have made it more memorable and great than Oliver Stone has made it.
