Review of WALL·E (2008) by Jeff A — 09 Mar 2013
In a future that is arguably both dystopian and utopian, a love story sets about in an universe bigger than ourselves: one dominated with a super-company that willingly "provides" a 24HR public service to the people of Earth, who are no longer.
With directional finesse and musically enlightening it is the epitome of cinema for anyone to ponder our worlds, all the while sympathising for a struggle in humanity both in the presence of robots and humans.
The Easter eggs are also a marvel: real humans are present in an animated film, Wallâ¢E is voiced by the creator of the voices of R2D2 and E.T, and the inversion of Alien's Sigourney Weaver as the automated Big Brother tied in with biblical references make this film a masterpiece.
