Review of WALL·E (2008) by Antony G — 17 Apr 2013
Pure genius from Disney Pixar yet again & shows you don't have to try too hard to make a great movie. The lack of dialogue isn't an issue simply because the visuals does all the talking with funny things going on screen! It's a rom com with a difference, it's funny, original plot & characters you'll actually give a damn about, something which can't be said of any rom com nowadays! Oh and our lead characters are robots!
Sometime in the distant future mankind has abandoned Earth due to every square inch being covered by trash. Wall.E is a lonely waste collection robot left behind to clean up after mankind. His tedious, boring life soon changes when Eve, a more sophisticated robot, is sent to Earth in search of any plant life which may spark the dusty planet back to life. It's love at first sight & Wall.E tracks eve down to the edges of space in the name of love & inadvertently sets in motion mans return to Earth.
