Review of WALL·E (2008) by Dann M — 21 Jul 2013

Pixar outdoes themselves once again, delivering the most spectacular looking animated film ever make in WALL-E. However, despite the amazing CGI, there's an attempt to incorporate live-action images that don't integrate very well with the visual style of the film.

And, unfortunately Pixar really drops the ball on story (which is quite unusual for them). There's not much of a plot, and what little there is is pure environmentalist propaganda. Still, there's a lot of smart, well-written humor, and plenty of action.

While there are a number of problems with WALL-E, it still delivers an entertaining adventure that's visually stunning.
