Review of WALL·E (2008) by Alasdair B — 06 Sep 2014
In conclusion to my Pixar film review marathon, "Wall-E" has beens saved best for last. Next to "Toy Story", this is my absolute favorite film made by Disney Pixar. "UP" comes in right after it, but this one was so good. "Wall-E" is a beautiful film with gorgeous inner computer cinematography.
Basically the world is dying. The desolate landscape once known as Earth has been stripped of all living things. Robots were left to clean up the mess. Wall-E is a quirky lovable little robot who cleans up trash. He silently goes through the pillars of trash collecting. From his rusty metal home to the depths of outer space, the film showcases spectacular visuals, while showcasing a spectacular story. Humor is constant, even when no words are spoken. Th little bleeps from robots and their personalities drive the film.
This is a must watch. It is visually graceful, well written, and has some great sound effects. It will go down as a classic. I absolutely recommend this.
