Review of WALL·E (2008) by Tungis G — 11 Sep 2014
Utterly Brilliant. It's obvious the people who created this film loved doing so thru and thru and the created another Pixar home run. One of the best films I've ever seen. If you appreciate any story that is a product of a labor of love; if you like films where it's clear every frame was crafted into place; if you love antagonists who summarize the best in us and drive their own story, this is a must see. Funny how relatable fictitious robots can be in every possible situation, much more than human actors could even be.
This is a *really* beautiful film; in creation and message. It's production is near perfect. Every scene is relevant. The whole is greater than the sum of the parts but the parts are equally great. A multi-faceted gem. All with our being tiring or burdensome. Pure movie magic.
On the surface it's entertaining for all ages and mentalities, but for those who can get it, there is a great underlying lesson hidden there to consider. No not THAT one. Look deeper...
If you cannot appreciate this film or you feel bad about yourself when watching it as some say, it's because it's reflecting you. Not many movies offer this gift so embrace it. In the end this movie reflects the best that each one of us is capable of.
