Review of WALL·E (2008) by Wendy B — 28 Jan 2015
This movie reminded me of the book Alone Together. Today we're all trapped, bound to the tiny screens of our cellphones, tapping out messages to stay in touch with the outside world. Wall-E is 700 years into the future and it scared me to see what humans might come to 700 years from now.
Will we really become human gluttons who never leave our padded floating armchairs and lose touch with nature. I feel this movie had a lot of deeper meaning than the average children's animation. Wall-E the robot learned besides doing his job, that he could care, he recycled and wanted to preserve the world, and he found love with EVE.
