WALL-E is a standout for all the reasons mentioned, plus one further. I quibble with the idea that it is not suitable for younger kids. No, they aren't going to get all of the 2001-Silent Running references that all the critics are going wild over at the age of 4, but there is plenty that is accessible to them now, and the rest will keep them coming back to it in later years with a greater and greater appreciation for the movie they enjoyed as a child.
This is a movie kids can potentially never outgrow.
