Review of Walking Tall (2004) by Stefan S — 15 Dec 2008
I thought this was like one of those action films they used to make in arnie and stallone's prime; one where one guy decimates a town/terrorist group/prison wardens.... etc. It was a basic revenge-plot where the son returns from service and doesn't like what he sees in his town.
I enjoyed it because I got what I expected from it, it also had the sense to develop the motive for Chris' behaviour through the beating he took at the rigged casino, and the drugs the owners sold to his nephew.
A good hour and a half of gratuitous violence!
