Review of Walking Tall (2004) by John M — 07 Apr 2012
Walking Tall is quite average of a movie. A soldier, Jay Hamilton, returns to his hometown after years where everything has changed: businesses are closed down while casinos run by corrupt people are a bad influence on the society.
It's all changed for the worse, and Jay will do whatever it takes, even against police authorities, to bring the town back to it's roots and fight against the corruption. What follows are some decent action scenes that are entertaining at times, and at other times basic action.
It's a mixed bag--it's entertaining to watch once for it's action, but it really is a short popcorn flick. It's a good rent I'd say.
