Sorry Dwayne, you're no Joe Don Baker! The whole appeal to the 1973 original is you saw the protagonist teetering from honest cop to town bully. The Rock is too much a Boy Scout here, returning to clean up his town.
While it is kinda fun and has some good action, it falls into formula too easily. It lacks the moral unease that Baker exuded!
