Review of Walkabout (1971) by Ben S — 21 Oct 2007
An exceptionally beautiful and rare film with a deceptively simple story (English brother and sister meet an aborigine) that manages to encompass themes of ecology, sexuality, clashes of civilisation, the temporal nature of youth, the temporal nature of time and much more, plus a haertbreaking ending and a soaring score by John Barry.
I can not recommend this film highly enough.
