This movie is a must see! Some of the most gorgeous footage filmed in my opinion. I have recently become a fan of Director Nick Roeg and so far this is his best movie to me. Jenny Agutter is amazing as teen who gets stranded in the Australian desert with 6 yr old brother (played by directors son).
David Gulpilil (later in Croccodile dundee) play Aborigine teen who meets up with them and saves their lives while he is on his "walkabout" in the desert becoming a man, living on his own. It is the story of their journey through the desert.
Very good movie. A part of the Criterion collection so it's been digitally remastered and the special features make the CD purchase well worth the money to purchase.
