Review of Walkabout (1971) by Maxwell S — 18 Jul 2012
Life isn't so great, but it's always beautiful. This film manages to be beautiful and great, and it is obviously one of the most gorgeous films ever made. The child is almost our grasp back to reality.
Without him we would be too lost in what is happening. The child (like every child) always want to know about things, they are curious. The child helps us realize what is what. The blending of cultures here is something that a lot of movies have done, but none have succeeded as much as this film.
By the way, the visuals are like "2001" , but of nature, if I were to compare it.
