Review of Walk with Me (2017) by Tony1984 — 12 Mar 2018
I went to a monastery on mindfulness course three years ago and this brought me back. My personal monastic experience was a very quiet affair with only two monks and 10 students in the whole monastery.
Plum Village would be a bit crowded for my liking. However the principle is the exact same. Calmness. That's what you get with this fly on the wall documentary. An hour and a half of peace and quiet. Benedict Cumberbatch occasionally quotes verses to excellent effect.
On a philosophical level even if the idea of guru style teachers such as Thich Nhat Hanh are not your cup of tea, it’s impossible not to admire his achievement in spreading the concept of mindfulness.
Everyone should try.
