Review of Walk the Line (2005) by Gavin M — 14 Dec 2014
Great, great movie. Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon give sensational performances. Specifically Reese Witherspoon who gives her heart and soul playing June Carter who eventually becomes Johnny Cash's wife.
I have never felt so moved by a performance by an actress the way I was moved by Witherspoon's performance in this movie that I really feel at times that her performance helped carry the movie. But to see Joaquin Phoenix and her together singing was truly a work of art by James Mangold who also directed another one of my favorite movies Cop Land.
This truly is a very straight forward bio of The Man In Black and it definitely does him proud as Johnny Cash will forever be one of the greatest musical artists that has ever lived.
