It tells the rise and falling of the country icon Johnny Cash. When I first saw this movie, I never listened to Johnny Cash but afterwards that's all I wanted to do. Joaquin Phoenix does a great job as portraying young Cash.
It most rise and fall situations it's usually drugs that causes the fall. Same in this movie but its different because first of all this is all actually based on Cash's life, and second you actually really care about this guy.
You want him to get better.
