Review of Walk the Line (2005) by Spencer S — 03 Jun 2015
Biopics, however harrowing and heartfelt, are not always made with the greatest of care. Walk the Line plagues us with Cash's unruly nature, his addiction, his romancing of June Carter, which is both tumultuous and hurts to watch.
Unlike many films I have seen covering this sort of subject, there is a fair amount of decency in Phoenix's performance and the truthfulness of the plot, unlike many exploitative films available.
