Review of Walk the Line (2005) by Seth B — 08 Dec 2012
I'd never been a big fan of Johnny Cash, but admired the handful of songs I knew. This biographical movie takes in the first half of Cash's life; from being a young boy listening to the radio, through young love, the beginnings of his musical career, drug addiction, and new love.
The leads are portrayed very well, with Phoenix and Witherspoon singing all their characters' lines. A little too long, perhaps, but there's a lot of story and musical performances to cram in.
