Review of Walk the Line (2005) by Wadet. — 18 Nov 2005
A solid, if traditionally structured, biopic that captures much of the look, feel, and sensibility of the times. Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon get kudos for doing all their own singing, but it's in the smaller moments, the grace notes, of their performances that they really shine.
Excellent turns by a number of supporting players as well. And, of course, the music is appropriately the center and soul of the picture throughout.
