Review of Walk on Water (2004) by Daniel C — 19 Feb 2012
None of the so-called critics seem to "get" what's going on here. This is yet another Israeli film about Israel's disgust with any more killing of Nazis and fighting with Arabs. Yes, Germans are hated in much of the film, but not all of it.
Nazis are despised. But it's the weariness of the younger generation that's at the heart of the film. The story is about a nation that wants peace from the horrors it and the Jewish people have suffered.
These ridiculous critics don't get it even though the film begins with the suicide of the wife of a Mossad agent. She kills herself because she can no longer live with his constant assassinating Hamas leaders and the like.
Do you need it any clearer? One of the user reviewers says "great scenery". Good grief.
