Review of Walk of Shame (2014) by Panta O — 19 Jul 2014
I watched part of this movie few weeks ago... and I didn't like it. I gave it a second chance today... and I have to say, no better opinion than the first time. Watching this American comedy written and directed by Steven Brill and starring Elizabeth Banks, James Marsden, Gillian Jacobs, Sarah Wright, Ethan Suplee, Oliver Hudson and Willie Garson - I simply didn't care what happens! It had few funny moments (especially the culture clashes in The Hood), and mostly reasonably good acting from Elizabeth Banks - and that was it!
The story of a journalist/anchor and her dream of becoming a news anchor for a bigger network was simply uninteresting! Her credibility is compromised and after a one-night stand she was stranded in downtown L.A. without a phone, car, ID or money - and only 8 hours to make it to the most important job interview of her life...
If you really like stereotypes, you do not mind some gaps in the story and illogical elements, low level humour and empty feeling story, maybe you could watch it....
