The "Cox" jokes that the movie insists on making every 3 minutes generate exactly zero laughs. But other than that almost everything works in this very funny send-up of biopics, the history of Rock and Roll, the cultural fads of the past 40 years and how they all blend together in our collective conciousness.
Plus the music is really pretty decent. It is funnier than Spinal Tap and has better music.
