Review of Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story (2007) by Eryn D — 25 Jan 2010
I don't know if you would HAVE to see Walk the Line or Ray or any other musician biopic like that to enjoy this movie, but my guess is that you don't. But it sure does help, and it really made this movie that much more hysterical to watch for me. XD The comedy is so spot on almost the whole way through.
My favourite bits, hands down, have to be 1) with the Beatles in India, and 2) the final scene with Dewey and his father. I guess you could take some points off if you don't like penis jokes... You can guess whether I do or not. ;).
<==8.
EDIT: Adding the half-star that I missed giving this movie when it came out for the Overindulgent Director's Cut version of the film that I recently saw on DVD. The comedy hasn't gone stale since I last saw it, either. It still busted my gut on just about every joke. This is a criminally under-appreciated gem. See if if you haven't yet.
