Review of Wałesa: Man of Hope (2013) by Marcin K — 16 Sep 2013

I had never heard of Walesa, but I wanted to see this movie after my parents told me about him. I think what he did for Poland was amazing, and he clearly was a gifted speaker. However, he seemed like an obnoxious individual to know personally.

Like the Mandela movie, I was a bit lost at times because of all the different events, but the title performance was solid. I must say, I'm glad my ancestors left Poland when they did, because twentieth century Poland was no picnic!
