Review of Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price (2005) by Jimmy P — 08 Sep 2008
I don't like Walmart as a whole or their business practices. They represent the worst parts of American business from how they treat their employees by not giving equal pay for work done or basic benefits such as health care.
Instead Walmart will go to great lengths to ensure that unions are not formed spending millions of dollars when instead they could use that money for good. Walmart had a choice to either be a great thriving American company that cared for it's employees and in turn the employees cared for Walmart or to choose the dark side of business and only look towards the bottom line.
We all know what happens eventually when this is the direction chosen. It may take some time but we will see the demise of Walmart in our lifetime unless it shifts it's ways and starts behaving properly giving back instead of only taking.
