Review of Waking Ned (1998) by Ben C — 27 Jul 2007
This is a great tale mostly focusing on two old friends who find out someone in their Irish village (population of 52) has just won the lottery and they want to weasel their way to getting a share of the prize.
To say more would spoil the adventure of the film, but I can tell you this: it is funny at times and dramatic at others. Its been a while since I've seen a good old fashion comedy with quirky humor.
The acting is amazing and the side stories aren't too bad, but Jackie and Michael are the most entertaining pair. The movie has a few slow parts but you can pull through them.
