Review of Waking Life (2001) by Edgar C — 09 Jul 2013
A movie for very passionate thinkers. Deep and symbolic, and very expressive. Decent and innovative American animation with the episodic structure that had given birth to Linklater's true masterpiece: Slacker (1991), with the huge talent to contrast different viewpoints about relevant subjects of today's society contrasting it with its artistic and literary counterparts, but being simultaneously humble to declare that we do not have all of the answers. An auteurs discussion put in the moment you least expect it is fascinating in any given context.
85/100.
