Review of Waking Life (2001) by Benjamin L — 01 Jun 2008
Is there such a thing as freedom? Do we have souls, or just mere manifestations of a instance of the populations collective? This movie touches on the philosophical world of existentialism, and answers the surrounding questions by means of moulding our minds into a state of understanding rather than simple providing of the answer.
A must see for anyone that seeks understanding. *Spoiler* I didn't like the parts after the meeting with woman in the corridor, as you know exactly the "twist" that is to come, would of been better if the following scenes were placed beforehand, so that that scene was the last one followed by a shot of him lying dead from the car crash - oh so I think.
