Review of Waking Life (2001) by David S — 16 May 2009

A great attempt doing something really different and original. The animation is slightly disconcerting, which doesn't always help, and the film is little more than a collection or talking head vignettes.

Sure, the conversations are very interesting and the premise is daring, but the animation doesn't really make up for the prevalence of lengthy static-camera scenes of discussion. Overall, well worth a watch.
