Review of Waking Life (2001) by Juan B — 30 May 2009
I wish I could tear this film apart but it's actually very original. I found it interesting as far as technique goes. Visually innovative and theoretically bald as a concept. However, all the relentless monologues, interesting as they can be, and the inexistence of a plot make watching this film an exhausting experience.
I won't go as far as to say I utterly hated it, but I can assure you, I wanted it to end more than once.
