Review of Waking Life (2001) by Daniel D — 03 Apr 2010
A weird movie with little plot and lots of talking. There's some interesting philosophical bits here and there, but it'll most likely just confuse the hell out of you. Each scene is best watched individually, as watching the whole movie in one sitting may cause your head to explode, as mine did.
Still, there's some good stuff in here. I enjoyed the "jail cell" monologue, and the bit by Alex Jones who is otherwise a raving lunatic. Lots of good stuff for actors to chew on for auditions, I imagine. And lots of pretty visuals. Very nice.
Eh. See it in chunks, not all at once. You've been warned.
