Richard Linklater's Waking Life is wonderfully crafted animation film. It's the art-house equivalent of Christopher Nolan's Inception and Wachowski's Matrix with a story that is profound and pretentious in equal parts.
It's worth repeated viewings purely on the basis of its art direction.
