Review of Wake Wood (2011) by Ruthie R — 05 Jul 2011
HAMMER studios came back with the right project, a strange and at times creepy atmospheric horror film that is also an excellent throwback to the horror films of the late 60s and the 1970s, such as "The Wicker man" and "Don't Look Now".
Not only that but this movie, to me, is the closet thing to a "Pet Sematary 3", much like Pet Sematary the film deals with such issues that are quite taboo such as the death of a child and how far we would go to bring them back.
I don't have much else to say other than this movie is just terrific, much better than "The Resident".
