John Wayne is great in this classic. He add's a bitterness to his role that is very similiar to his character in the Searchers. Its not the usual John Wayne movie. This is the begining of that John Wayne provado that would be present in everything that came after.
Interesting story, interesting characters... they dont make em' like this anymore! Another John Wayne classic.
