Review of Waitress (2007) by Aoife D — 23 May 2009
Pretty good for a chick flick. Both funny and sweet. However, the climax comes too soon. Do we really believe that giving birth gives Jenna the courage to do the one thing that she could never do, that giving birth transforms her into an confident, independent woman rather than the subservient one that she was from the beginning? Gotta love the pies!
