Cute chick flick with a whole lot of heart. "Waitress" gets its major punch from its lead performance by Keri Russell, who adds so many subtle dynamics to the character you forget its the actress on screen.
The writing and direction, by the late Adrienne Shelly (RIP), sting with an authentic dose of humor; and the film's final scenes, while crazy, are 100% earned. Don't forget to look out for Andy Griffith (yes, *that* Andy Griffith) in a supporting role that is as funny as it as brilliant.
