Review of Waitress (2007) by Min K — 30 Jun 2011
What a delightful film. Warm, sweet, quirky can also be used to describe this. Keri Russell's charm shines through in this film. While the premise is one seen on screen before (woman grappling with an undesired pregnancy) the screenplay is so uniquely humorous and honest, it simply wins you over.
Kudos also to Jeremy Sisto in his performance as the controlling husband. He was so compelling, I was torn between pity and dislike towards his character. America needs more humble films like this one.
